Most automation calls are a single component — a relay, an actuator, a comms module — not a whole new panel, and we'll always try the targeted fix first. The full-replacement conversation only comes up when a board is truly dead and the manufacturer no longer makes parts for it, at which point upgrading to a current panel is genuinely the better spend.
