Pool Automation Repair

Control panels, actuator valves, relay boards, and app connectivity diagnosed and fixed — on Pentair, Jandy, and Hayward systems, from a single dead relay to a panel that won't power on.

Automation makes running a pool easier right up until it doesn't — a panel that's stopped responding, an app that won't connect, or a valve that no longer moves on command turns a convenience into a puzzle. We work Pentair IntelliCenter and EasyTouch, Jandy AquaLink, and Hayward OmniLogic and OmniHub systems, and we start by isolating whether the fault is in the panel, the wiring, or the network connection before touching anything.

What actually fails

The four failures we see most.

1. Relay & circuit board failure

Panel won't switch equipment on

A relay that's stuck open or closed leaves one piece of equipment permanently on or off regardless of what the panel says. We test relays individually rather than replacing the whole board on a guess.

2. Actuator valve failure

Won't rotate on command

Valve actuators that stall mid-rotation or stop responding entirely usually trace back to a worn gear train or a failed motor inside the actuator housing, not the valve body itself.

3. Transformer & power supply issues

Panel won't power on

A dead or failing transformer takes the whole panel down at once — distinct from a single relay fault, and usually the first thing we check on a completely unresponsive system.

4. App & network connectivity

Wi-Fi module & pairing

Remote app control depends on a Wi-Fi module holding a connection to your home network — a module fault, a router change, or a firmware issue can each break it differently, and we sort out which before re-pairing anything.

Is it worth automating an older system?

Repair the panel, or upgrade it?

Older automation panels eventually hit a point where parts are harder to source than a straight upgrade to a current system costs — and a current-generation panel pairs more reliably with variable-speed pumps and salt systems than a decade-old one ever will. We'll tell you plainly which side of that line your panel is on before you spend money chasing parts for something worth replacing.

Common questions

Automation repair FAQ.

My app shows the pool offline — is the whole system down?

Not necessarily. Equipment often keeps running on its last schedule even when the app loses connection — it's frequently a Wi-Fi or router issue, not a panel failure.

Can you add automation to a pool that doesn't have it?

Yes, in most cases, provided the existing valves and equipment are compatible or can be swapped for automation-ready versions. We'll scope that during the visit.

How fast can you get to a dead control panel?

We keep same-day slots open for exactly this kind of breakdown. Call and we'll tell you what's available today.
